It seems this thread is not a bug report, but a complaint that Peace of Mind Should grant immunity during the duration rather than a prevention method as it currently is. Peace of mind = Protection, Not immunity. Not even our combined might could explain how peace of mind works in this game. So even if the first application of slow is removed by haste, it'll immediately be reapplied and you'll be slowed. It'll be consumed by haste and the two will cancel out, however, since you're standing in that oil, slow is constantly being applied. So if you have Haste up and it says it removes slows, walking in oil will attempt to apply slow to you. If you have Magic shell applied through armor of frost and your armor is broken, the magic shell buff will cancel out with ONE incoming status effect that it is capable of blocking. Originally posted by Chaoslink:Again, it will remove it. Peace of Mind applies a BUFF that makes you immune to Terror for the duration, so aura or not, it should never apply to a character with Peace of Mind. A character with Peace of Mind should be immune to be Terrified at least for the duration of Peace of Mind. It does not matter if the Terror is a single spell or an Aura. Not getting armor to further protect is just silly. Peace of mind alone only removes the current instance of terror. Peace of mind followed by magic armor restore will fix the problem. There is no bug, you are just misunderstanding the fight and HOW fear is being applied. The Scarecrow has a FEAR AURA a CONSTANT application of fear, meaning you will be protected for one "application" tick. The Scarecrow you are fighting DOES NOT cast fear. Unlike potions suggested to you earlier, It can prevent 1 application of fear before peace of mind is removed. Peace of mind DOES NOT make you immune to fear. You are not understanding what peace of mind does. Originally posted by Ghilteras:I am aware of the workarounds, there are several ways of cheesing your way through the fight, the problem is Peace of Mind does not remove Terrified as it says in the tooltip, so it's a bug. So you can tough it out using the strong wills to just fight the fight without the terrify effect or you can use earth resist potions to make yourself nearly immune to their attacks so you can't get terrified. Mix these potions up and add augmentor or simply mix two of the potions together to make them stronger and you can get medium potions (50% resistance for 3 turns) or large (75% resistance for 2 turns) by mixing the mediums together. The attacks the scarecrows use is an earth based one intended to break your magic armor for terrify to be applied. You also can mix earth tongue mushrooms with a potion bottle for an earth resistance potion. Mixing fire essence with a potion bottle will give you a strong will potion that will give you full immunity to mind altering effects, like terrify. This comes from immunity or magic armor protection. You need a constant protection from it, not a one-time consumed protection. You're being hit by a constant stream of terror effects. Earth tongue mushrooms? Fire essence? These two things might prove very helpful here.īut yes, this isn't a bug. Take note of the spells they're hitting you with.
